KOTA KINABALU: A 64-year-old salesman woke up to find his bag containing important documents stolen from his room at Hotel Wah May, here.
The victim, a stationery salesman from Johor, is said to be a regular customer of the hotel.
The salesman found that his bag had gone missing when he woke up on July 11 at the hotel, and he believed the bag was stolen.
He lost his MyKad, bank cards, driving licence, immigration pass, credit cards and RM 250 in cash.
The victim lodged a police report the same day.
He suggested that the hotel installed closed-circuit television (CCTV) along the corridors outside the rooms as currently only the staircase was installed with CCTV.
