Love Banana Republic or 19th century fashion and 50's-era Dior?  If you enjoy these fashion influences, then get excited for the launching of a special film-themed collection for this Fall/Winter 2012.  This collection is styled by an Academy Award-nominated costume designer named, Jacqueline Durran.  The collection launches exclusively at all U.S. North America Banana Republic locations and their online store in October. The line is inspired by the upcoming theatrical love story "Anna Karenina", which comes out in November of this year!

The Anna Karenina Collection will feature 19th century Russian Romantic Imperialism with a twist of a modern day 50's influence of Dior's New Look.  The line will promote tailored pieces for men and feminine styles for women, faux furs on collars, hats, coats, rich textured fabrics in black and dove gray, velvet, lace, and some sparkly pieces.  Blouses will range from $39.50 to $325 for coats.  Accessories will include pearls and crystal jewelry ranging from $29.50 to $250 for handbags.  To me, this collaboration sounds interesting and can't wait to see what the collection looks like!
